Hi everyone, here is my last indoor environmental artwork. I'm planing to use it to my effects class. Any comments or Feedbacks ?? I used Maya, unfold 3D, Substance Painter and Arnold.
It's really just cylinders, so use a cylindrical map projection and unfold/peel/relax as necessary, then planar map project for the top and bottom/caps.
interesting approach zbrush_newbie. ill try that out. but usually i just use unfold with either horizontal or vertical to space it out to correct aspect
(in Maya) I've tried doing planar maps on both halves, then unfolding them, but I still get a ton of distortion around the strap holder. Can anyone help? Thanks!
Currently putting together the globe, really not sure how to texture the world, is it best to smooth out a cube and then unfold it so the sphere has no points?
