Currently I'm using spline deformer if I want something like path deform in Max but I wish there was a more simple tool. There was a japanese script for 301 which did almost exactly what I wanted but it's not working in 801. How do you approach a situation when you want to deform something along spline?
I try to use Maya to bake some difficult normal maps. Autodesk dosen't change bake tool since I stat use maya 8.1. Maya have a problem with raytracing. So I recoomend to try 3ds Max or Xnormal. These tools give the best and predictable result.

Three achievements left to get: 1000 kills (got about 611 so far), defend dustbowl without losing any control points and play in a game with 7 people from my friends list. We have any games with a bunch of PC folk all on at the same time?
I mostly got holes between the meshes in modo 801 + Meshfusion when I tried to lower the subdivs. I will do some tests with Meshfusion in 901 and different Topology. Are the decals projections on the Mesh or Geometry or done in post in PS? With a mesh that does not have UVWs, decals are somewhat hard to do I guess.

Hey polycounters! With all these sales going on lately I have been wondering how many of you have your own licenses for software that you use both at home and at work. For example I am quite tempted to buy Modo 801 to use both at work and at home. Yet primary modeling package at work is Maya. Does anyone do that?
