Real cool stuff. Gotta say, I'm most impressed with the textures. Any chance of seeing some flats? Especially that horse, I'd love to take a closer look at that one. Also, where's Hunter? Haven't seen him post in a while, and his CGhub page has a bunch of DS2 stuff.
Man! I crunch for one month and you guys kill GA... Heh! It hit list continues. First it was CGhub now GA... CG society should be sweating right now. Raise the jolly roger! ...Wait did I have a bunch on non-backed up art on GA... Damn!
I hate building websites with such a burning passion that if I ever do another serious online portfolio I'm switching it to art station. I do think it's a smart idea to get your own domain and point it to your art station gallery in case it goes belly up like CGHub.
heh cghub gold awards and top row is seriously overrated and usually biased quite a bit. some mediocre work from some AAA game will get spotlight just because of the brand, while someone's personal work however awesome it may be will be overlooked. dont waste your energy over such things.
Plz lose flash. Remake it in Frontpage or Microsoft Word if you have to. Keep in mind, some people might want to DL your images. Do yourself a huge favour, and make yourself a gallery on CGhub and CGsociety, and use those instead of this website. (Plenty of artists do this, and IMHO it's a totally acceptable option).
Side notes: Sister of Battle is for individual to simplify the piece down to appropriate level. While the blue-cyborg looking lady (the piece is called Dreaming, btw.) is the opposite, loose concept to be built upon by each individual. Keep the concept and the voting coming. Now that CGHub is gone, ArtStation is there to…
Depends if your adding it to your visual library or not. "oh look everybody's making combat exosuits! I wanna make combat exosuits now aswell" Just perpetuates 'cghub syndrome'. I play games I find interesting but I try to avoid taking inspiration from them, dangerous cycle.
Final entry for the CGHub 3d jam. I know it's not game art, but can you really blame me for shameless self promotion? Now it's time to get back to my unfinished game art, especially since DW is on the fritz. Turntable Quicktime Download 1 Quicktime Download 2 Quicktime Download 3 [ame]…
Hello everyone. Lately i've been working on this small industrial/sci-fi scene put together in UDK. I think most of it is done, but I might add some subtle smoke particles and lens flares. Anyway what do you guys think of this? Harsh critique appreciated :) More of this on my cghub page: http://lech-kopec.cghub.com/
Thanks for the advice guys. I'll definitely check all those out. Slideknit looks way interesting. Actually, I've noticed on one of the images in the CGhub page he says this: Which is interesting cause I never thought of using skinwrap in that way. Isn't that basically what Slideknit does, only with the object's UVs?
