It's not the tiling I'm worried about. It's masking out parts of one brick texture to blend with another. I know I can take care of the tiling with decals and grunge masks. The first pic in my recent post just shows how I blended a mask with 2 textures. I just want to be able to define where that mask is on the model. -

Website is down! Depends on the size of the environment. Deferred decals with normalmap are a great way but you can also model it. Of course it is ideal if you can re-use stuff. It would go off once the blackholes shockwave reaches the right radius. This would only be around 0.2 seconds or so. I think it may be a bit too boring though.
