There have been plenty of space sequences that are still "moody" and give you a "feeling" that showcase the models pretty well. The soundwave sequence in the transformers movies, battlestar galactica, starwars. Literally every space sequence in cinema is lit well. You have to step away from "logic" for the sake of…
~ Film was pretty much the most awesomesauce audio/visual combo this year for me. Loved the fact that CLU delved into the Uncanny Valley, simply because he ISNT human. So it fit. Great film I liked it a lot! Wouldn't recommend watching 3D movies if it isn't IMAX though... Regular 3D cinemas always look 'meh' Also; Art book…
All polygon modelers have a way to enter the target value for scale somewhere. Blender, Max, Cinema and so on. Not exactly like in Maya as shown here, but in the one or another way. I know not a single polygon modeler that lacks of numeric scale. EDIT: I checked Blender and found a funny thing. Blender has also just scale…

You can get a trail version of XSI or Half life mod tool. Just go to Softimage.com register and download. Your poll is missing Lightwave. Im trying to create a rotating chain, the rotation will be done with a material which is why i want to keep the UV linear as you see in the picture. I used a sweep in Cinema 4d to make this mesh, the UV get distributed just fine along Y axis but not X, the polygons are all equal sizes which causes alot of stretching. I…
