Shifting to another old project. Turning my Shyvana model, which was suppossed to be my entry for Polycount LOL Art Contest years ago, into a PBR character, since i suck at handpainted. Still works in progress. You could see the old handpainted and unfinished one in the first page. -

Re: 3ds Max Error
Not sure why you got the error in the first place, or why your files are corrupted, but you could try to recover the contents of your old file(s) by importing them into a new one. Create a new file, then go to the main menu > Import > Merge, and find your old stuff. -

Strange request, but I think you can pull that off by buying some old 'learning Maya' type books. I believe "Game Character Developement with Maya' comes with Maya PLE 6.0 on the included DVD. Since it is so old, you can probably find that book for cheap. -

Just want to say this here, not being able to open mudv1 files in 2009 is just ridiculous, now i have to do a bunch of bullshit to get my old models into the new version? Terrible. And what if that old model didnt have proper uvs? No real way to do it then right? -

Is Bilbo going to be played by Sir Old Guy Whatshisname-reallygoodactordude that played him in the other movies? Seems he'd be a bit too old to go back. Wonder who they'll cast for him. At least Andy Serkis can keep the ping pong ball suit on for a few more years. -

fordy how old are you? i didnt even start learning game art till i was aroun 25 and didnt get my first job till i was 28, which i thought was pretty old. in the end age desnt matter if you can do the work -

yeah, but it pisses me off to no end that people will pay thousands for things like this simply because he's old. if it was some 30 year old he'd be out on the streets trying desperately to sell his stuff to passerby's its great he's enjoying himself though, i've got no problem there.
