fabric work is looking really nice so far. I would be careful and not go up in subdivision level too quickly. parts of the face look a little lumpy and that could be the cause.
Thanks Sirhaian :D I have an idea at the moment, in combining parts I like in concept 3 and 4 mainly. Will surely post it tomorrow if I get it the way I want.
Cheers guys. Brian, its mainly interchangeable parts such as head, torsos and legs for a lot of the lower ranked units. However, a ton of the characters are completely bespoke (heroes, larger units, etc).
still looks a tad clean to me. maybe a bit more dirt/noise in the spec. agree with johny, you could easily build the alpha parts with the remaning polys in your budget.
