I guess he might be confused because your "art test" was a digital tutors tutorial, coppied down to the last vert by the looks of things http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/training.php?pid=355 sorry man, but I have to call troll on this one......member of polycount for three years and doesn't know how a forum works....love it…
Hey man, making mistakes is part of human nature! It's the only way to get better! The way I look at it is: Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn. But you never lose. What you did here is *not* wasted. You learned a valuable lesson in digital sculpting. We've all been there. Just keep practicing and never give up!
i have a digital projector and a laptop plus a ps2, a tv isnt the only way to watch a dvd. i just hate network tv and cable and would rather jsut buy or download the shows i want to see. if you really like this show, take the pilot survey!! i did and made my girlfriend do it too.
It's pretty sweet. I'm using it for more than just sculpting now. Feels more like a digital sandbox to play in than a 3d tool. I feel less constricted by the software for the first time in quite awhile and can just focus on making stuff. 3.0 definitely feels more appropriate for this release than a .5. It's just packed…
Damn, that's an ugly head. I don't know what I was thinking posting it here. Hopefully this update is a bit better. It's not very interesting, but it's the first digital painting I've done in ages. I needed some practice, so I decided on still-life. I think it turned out quite well, for two hours of work or so.
I found the 2-3 hours I'd invest in the ZBrush DVD's were well worth it, they save so much time. I used the ZBrush 2 when learning it for the first time, and ZBrush 3 when I had to learn how to use it for my last job. I used Digital Tutors, but Gnomon is probably the same.
Yeah thats actually pretty surprisingly similar to how things are done now. The main difference being you dont digitize a paper image, you just use ortho planes in your 3d app. I absolutely love seeing stuff like this, especially old tech. If anyone has any more videos like this, please post :)
Quite like the second piece, the board... quite trippy. :poly142: My wife would probably like that t-shirt on right. p.s. I'd just learn what they got to offer, and learn to teach yourself anything in your own time. As much technical knowledge of the tools makes for a better digital artist no? Or am I missing something…
Its hard to tell if thats true, no real info, nothing substantive. What exactly would the government gain from listening to a major publisher. What bribes? With our supposedly open governement and two parties together. Although saying that it probably is true knowing the way the digital bill was pushed through in the most…
well who cares about the dream thing, in the future this may be the new way in which digital artists work! Strap on some headgear, boom, insta-art. 1 step closer to the "make art" button! Maybe we wont even need keyboards, mice and tablets anymore either. Just sit there and control the OS with your mind alone.
