You need to do things besides games. If only for the fact that you need to get your inspiration from somewhere. Miyamoto's games aren't good because he continuously thinks about only games, they're good because he sources many life experiences.
Made changes to the spec and gloss maps can see now why the previous one's where so crap. Gona have to continue spending a lot more time working on them in future projects, I do tend to leave them to the last minute some times.
Computron yeah no problem- many objects have surfaces that don't conform to isometric views. I am frequently moving verts around or cutting in details where I have to tweak vertex positions on all 3 axis to get a continuous flow- that is messy and time consuming.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNdQHzQNsg4&feature=youtu.be A few days late due to some things on my end, but it's finally here. In todays Episode 8 of FATM, part 2/4, we continue our new project with the iron from our Sword Clubset.
Thats pretty much the conclusion they came too as far as the floppy disks go. Theres simply no way to continue growth while keeping the file size that small. However there still needs to be a good justification and some careful consideration before throwing an extra 10 megs of files in there.
Here's an update of the work today. Continued with the light details on the metal and added her left side "cape" (Still not sure If I'll keep it, its not finished and it'll have light effects attached to the fabric, If i dont like it when Im done with it, ill just remove it)
Thank you for the paintover! I started from a basemesh I made, not from Dynamesh, so I can just go back a couple of subdivisions and go over it again. I'll keep the paintover next to me when I continue on it tonight, thanks so much!
This is still very wip but I wanted to throw down some color and see how it looks. Going to warp and bang up the metal normals a bit tonight before continuing with the diffuse. 719 Tris on this guy will post wires later when I update this thread next.
if you put your pen to the tablet, start your stroke, and then hit shift in ZBrush 3.1, it will make a straight line as you continue your stroke. I don't think it works when you have lazy mouse on, but when you're straight up sculpting it works.
how many projects are you working on at a time? I've seen like 5 or 6 projects from you in the last week. Are you continuing to take crits and work on those as well? If not you may want to just consolidate them all into one 'thegreatjmo' modeling thread
