Nice thread, love the stylized substances. Can you give a brief overview of your approach to stylized materials in substance and how it might differ from realistic materials ?
@blot12345 That's one good looking fridge, honestly, i can see a more realistic approach to that concept quite easily, it might even surprass the original in my opinion.
I think the model is suffering from anime-eye syndrome. I'm not sure how "realistic" you want the model to be but as it is now it looks a bit too exaggerated imho
Beautiful rendering as always, my only crit would be the wood on the stock is looking a bit out of place rendering wise, not sure if your going for stylized or realistic look.
A formal request for Pixar Renderman 19 presets for Suite as soon as an opportunity arises. As if you' hadn't enough plates spinning already Hope its a realistic request thanks
Alchemy.. Simply mixing two different materials, create a realistic one. For example, Mix H2O with Co2 and you'll get bubbly water texture. That's what i think
For that, create a 1D texture with your choice of gradients and index it with NdotL. Use that as your specular color. Not very realistic if you intend for this to be some type of diffraction or interference effect.
