Some of those problems look like you need to flip your green channel. The warping usually comes from when the geometry in your lowpoly doesn't match close enough to your highpoly. What does your lowpoly look like?
Here is a new update without the polypaint. Longer arms and tail, wider thighs, less muscular torso and back. And close-ups ! I think that the highpoly is done ( or almost done ). I will start the retopo tomorrow, trying Topogun for the first time, will be cool ^^.
That highpoly is sweet! I love the shapes I'm not really a fan of the color scheme though, it's basically all black with slight yellow/red accents? I'd love to see more of the shapes, which seem to be kindof a greybrownish thing, have a brighter color.
If you stay highpoly take a look into this http://206.145.80.239/zbc/showthread.php?t=3193 or if you build a lowpoly first (in zbrush) for normal/displacement - just extrude and tweak the teeth into the jaws and "crease" there top surfaces - than divide as usual. hth,low
Holy friggits, mop! I have that book sitting not 4 inches from my left hand... It is a good book, saved my hiney a few times. Even helps with modeling folds for highpoly. It's like... what, 4 bucks? Totally worth it.
I do environment art at work and almost every highpoly model gets some touching up in zbrush. Even though it's hard surfaces everything can benifet from a 'little' organic detail. It's great for scratches, cracks, dents, etc etc.
@ Jaco - I'll address it with the next update, thanks for pointing it out. HighPoly GEO update (Smoothed everything out to cut down on the crazy folds) and a suggestion to flip the color palette, what do you think? It will be time to start on the texture soon! excitement ^-^
Hi polycount, I'm making this stylized dagger based on Becca Hallstedt concept (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/NYGLD) and i'm looking for improvements on highpoly and a better way to make an good topology for game, any tips for make good topology on the cut on the blade. Thanks, and sorry for my english.
Am working on a customized HK-416 rifle. I have just finished the highpoly model of it and still working on its lowpoly. Most of the model is modeled traditionally with sub-d modeling inside 3ds max and then got everything polished in Zbrush. Your feedback regarding anything is always appreciated!.
This is for a school project. After a concept by Keith Thompson http://www.keiththompsonart.com/ . Due to a deadline i have to kinda rush this and finish the highpoly today and maybe even start the lowpoly. Next on my list is fixing the hands and then doing all the folds properly. If you have any crits please share ;p
