Hello - I'm new . A friend recommended this site for good critiques and feedback and that's what I'm looking for. Well actually, I'm looking for jobs, but critiques -> better work -> jobs. Anyway, I recently got a website up and my demo reel on there, so here's my latest: Quicktime Sorenson 3, 10MB Thanks for any feedback!…
My demo reel is a .EXE file because its a bink file. Plays on all systems and the codec is built in so it doesn't matter if the have the codecs or not. Plus has excellent compression that reel was originally a uncompressed Quicktime file @ 1.92 Gb and now its only 27.5mb Also thanks for those links Cubik I checked them out…
Would be nice to see who uses what for converting quicktime or avi files to the iphone or itouch? I want to get some tutorial vids and some movies of my work to carry along with me, and convert some movies as well. Thanks for the heads up, and Peppi, I cannot believe the hassle you have to go through to get that program…
What file format? Tools generally read only a few specific formats. VirtualDub is good, but only loads AVI unless you get VirtualDubMod which takes a few MPEG formats (DVD, etc.) instead. AVIdemux can load a bunch, and does some error-checking. MPEG Streamclip can load anything that the QuickTime player can load, and does…
Eric: I just bought an Epson R340 which has a special DVD printing mechanism and bay. It prints directly onto the DVD surface. You just need to buy white printable DVD-R's. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AY5...5Fencoding=UTF8 OK thanks jec, that's why Im going with the solution of adding a data Quicktime file to the…
By editing the MIP maps. Fade out the normal map very quickly in the lower mips, and the diffuse too, any parts with high contrast. http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Mip_Mapping
sucks that they put the quicktime event buttons like on the top of the screen, makes me focus on that part instead of the action. why not put the buttons where stuff is gonna happen? like, around the head before you decapetate somebody.. very shitty design choise.. but then again, gemedesigners are worthless at everything…
Those are some great points about my demo reel formatting. I used a bink exe because its has awsome compression (quicktime looked nasty in comparison), and you also don't need to download the codec to play it. I think ideally there should be a few different versions of it available for download (Bink, QT, Divx). So people…
I am working on a demo reel to try and get a job as an environment artist. I have put something together and would like some feedback if I am on the right track. I have not put any music to this as it is a WIP and will be changing some things like titles. Here is the link it is only 10.3 mb in size and quicktime format.…
Well, I got into the iAnimate game division. I start in May. I wanted to get a head start, so I started to practice. Got some good reference for a kick, kick, flip combo. This is my key pose block out. Rough timing still. I'll do a proper timing pass later. [vv]39808916[/vv] Quicktime file for scrubbing…
