My demo reel is a .EXE file because its a bink file. Plays on all systems and the codec is built in so it doesn't matter if the have the codecs or not. Plus has excellent compression that reel was originally a uncompressed Quicktime file @ 1.92 Gb and now its only 27.5mb Also thanks for those links Cubik I checked them out… -

Would be nice to see who uses what for converting quicktime or avi files to the iphone or itouch? I want to get some tutorial vids and some movies of my work to carry along with me, and convert some movies as well. Thanks for the heads up, and Peppi, I cannot believe the hassle you have to go through to get that program… -

What file format? Tools generally read only a few specific formats. VirtualDub is good, but only loads AVI unless you get VirtualDubMod which takes a few MPEG formats (DVD, etc.) instead. AVIdemux can load a bunch, and does some error-checking. MPEG Streamclip can load anything that the QuickTime player can load, and does… -

Eric: I just bought an Epson R340 which has a special DVD printing mechanism and bay. It prints directly onto the DVD surface. sucks that they put the quicktime event buttons like on the top of the screen, makes me focus on that part instead of the action. why not put the buttons where stuff is gonna happen? like, around the head before you decapetate somebody.. very shitty design choise.. but then again, gemedesigners are worthless at everything… -

Those are some great points about my demo reel formatting. I used a bink exe because its has awsome compression (quicktime looked nasty in comparison), and you also don't need to download the codec to play it. I think ideally there should be a few different versions of it available for download (Bink, QT, Divx). So people… -
