Well, have you tried the "polygon transparency sorting" option since you're using maya 8.5 ? I don't know if it's working with high quality rendering but you can give it a try. Prior to maya 8, yeah, maya did only object sorting, while 3Dsmax does poly sort for ages... :)
Whats the budget for a camera?? canon ixus is a cool camera, or else the olympus µ 840. I have the olympus. But if you want something bump and water proof, yeah as I said before, olympus has a nice camera (Olympus µ 850SW). Btw where is your EHBO kit, its not on the picture??? :P
hi all just so that nobody wastes their time, i've solved the issue. upgraded to maya 8.5. much more powerful that 7.0. it p***es all over normal mapping issues. my renders look awsome in comparison to yesterdays! won't be using this normal shader setup - it's obsolete problem solved jase
Hi! Is there anyway to view my vertex colors in high quality rendering in maya 8.5? I can see my vertex colors multiplying on my diffuse texture and it looks fine, but when i turn on high quality rendering to see it with my normalmap, it gets all messy. How is it possible to view both vertex colors and normalmaps in maya?
So what did you think? I thought it was pretty darn good - defiantly not as good as Casino Royale but I would still give it a solid 8.5 / 10 or so.
