Totally agree there. I had an awesome instructor who taught 5 days at 2 schools, in the mornings, worked at massive black in the afternoon, and also does freelance. -

Freelance seems like your best (only?) option. If you can get a decent portfolio together you could definitely find some outsource work. -

Imo, Polycount is a game art community, and it should stay that way. Maybe a outsourcing studio with the Polycount name on it, with people freelancing/contributing on a asset-by-asset basis, but that's about it. -

I think this needs to go in the recruitment section, winning an "art contract" is not like winning a prize, it's like getting a freelance job, just with an open public entry.
