Gamma.... Uuuuuuughhhh lol well thanks for the clue. Totally solved my problem by disabling Gamma and LUT Correction in Max. Never would have thought Gamma correction was involved in this. Thanks for the hint.
Hi. Very old topic, but I had the same problem. In my case adding target light, solved the problem. Before, I had only skylight and normal maps didn't work.
Amazing stuff. I didnt know that you could group a bunch of meshes and import the group into Zbrush. This solves alot of issues for me. Also a download link would be really nice :D
Sell off some mountains while we are on. The government apparently didn't listen to the bumpkins tbh. And they realised it was a really stupid idea to begin with. The financial problems aren't going to be solved by selling forests.
Thanks for your answer Noors it solved alot. I cannot seem to find/bind the "Connect Vertex" function or the Chamfer (with options) either. I don't know why it's this difficult.... Thanks in advance.
Ahhh I think I have solved it. I changed the angle of the sun slightly which made a small difference but I found and changed the shadowdepthbias from 0.012 - 0.05. Found this in the UDKsytemsettings.ini.
You could bake a tangent normal map and then convert tangent to object space in xnormal but this may not solve your issue. why don't you try to bake the object space in xnormal directly?
Thank you so much Eric and Obscura! Omg that solves it! I still have that gimbal lock biz going on but at least i have a solid grip on what i need to do!
Alright. I solved that issue. Shame on me, I forgot to do Reset xForm. If somebody will have the same issue, you should know that you MUST NOT forget to apply Reset xForm
