Most consumers are probably not super interested in how a game was made. Depending on your price point I think it would be possible as an indie developer to use supplemental AI and still generate some revenue if the core concept was "fun" enough that your average Joes would be fine dropping $X on it. That being said, I…
[ QUOTE ] Sounds like your motherboard may be slowly dying... do you know anyone with a spare compatible mobo lying around that you could try your CPU and RAM in? [/ QUOTE ] That's what I was thinking. I think my roommate may have an old Socket A mobo lying around (which is what this is), but I haven't bothered asking him…
Hey Thank You! Its just a Diffuse Map on the Blade. The Handle is a Maya standart material, because i didnt unwrap the handle yet. Ok, i didnt know that the logo is an american/english company. I just picked it up from google pic search. My reference is an Eickhorn Kampfmesser 2000, and thats german. I changed Name and…
Might want to pick up the 2700K, its significantly faster for rendering etc but only $100 more, you could go for a little less expensive mobo, not sure why you need a "military grade" modo(reading the specs on newegg) or advanced temp control stuff unless you're overclocking, which is sort of a waste if you're spending…
@PeterK - I hear you. Honestly when it comes to this specific thing I don't think it's a worry. I'd say it's about the same as a TV show using a Ford F-150 or a Chrysler in a scene. So long as you obfuscate the logo/emblems/markings/branding (like they do in TV shows) you're fine. They actually do this all of the time on a…
Since Darkwatch is a bit close to doom in consideration to how it felt like it should be fast-phased when played(I was slow), I envisioned it should have big spaces and arena-like treatment from level to level. Just had to put the game's logo, I KNOW! I guess it was just something to feel pumped about.
Looks good. I don't know the tools in Blender, I'm afraid. For the ear, the middle part of the antihelix seems to protrude more in the photos, and the valley below it on the rear lobe is less deep and more a return to the level of the helix if that makes sense.
I'm modeling a generic man to get better at modeling muscles and anatomy, as well as getting used to working with more polies. Please critique the hell out of my stuff, I am trying to work up a portfolio to show to Tiburon EA down in Orlando so I'm planning on modeling Superman (lame) and Lobo (da main man!) and maybe do…
MAN! this is truly outstanding! I really love what you're doing and the incredible amount of effort you've managed to put in it! I've missed the trailer post but i'd like to give some crits on it... First the part where the Logo appears and you cycle through environments is a bit twitchy. I'd make the transition between…
