Hey Guys! Im looking for some feedback, i really want to make it good enough to put it to my portfolio. but i lost track of things i should change. Ive been looking at it for so long. Started it back in july or smth like that. then left it, and pick it up around 2 months ago, to make it look nicer and smoother. Thanks!
This really turned out great. I think you nailed the look. i like that you took the extra step to provide the chroma pack for it, i think the variants are a lot of fun. i do wish that they had as much love in them as the default, though. they're very monochromatic and are missing the color play in the shadows and…
I made one of my favorite character Sylvanas Windrunner with Legion armor :) Total 8717 Tris, handpainted diffuse texture with alpha channel. (I used extra specular map for marmoset) Hope you like my work :) for more pictures and Mormoset viewer, please check my Artstation page! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/A2DRy…
First post ever on Polycount https://www.artstation.com/artwork/eZ6g6 Low Poly game asset that I did from a Heroes Of The Storm concept by the great David Harrington. I did this personal project to show off my texturing skill since I can't share professional stuff. Hope you guys like it, C&C are welcome! model
Nomad33 > pretty good for a first try! I'd say the metal lacks serious highlights and specular. It looks a bit flat, almost like stone. You should also apply a gradient to tune down the feet/legs. It attracts too much attention right now. The face is looking quite good as well but I'd say make it pop a little bit more.
Thanks! I agree about readability - sword's design comes from times when I couldn't comprehend the idea that its humanely possible to add too many details onto a surface. :) But it's also a result of the fact that my inspiration has always been games like this: http://idgames.clan.su/_ph/3/666762206.jpg rather than world…
so guys i have a couple of questions, tugging through the Amazing Tyson Murphys tutorial (So far the best tutorial i've ever bought) and to my question, for a tileable texture lets say something like a wood or Concrete, how long do you guys work on it? (Mid-high quality with a lot of small, medium and big details). Best…
Trying something a little different, with some scales. It's not yet tiled, and I'm not quite used to hand-painting my normals, but I think the results show some degree of promise. I'd like some advice on how "readable" the texture should be. The painterly style I'm chasing uses a lot of vaguery to imply details where there…
