That sounds like a job for the UV and projection/baking tools inside your 3D package, should be a good deal more flexible to work with and you get to keep a scene file with that setup around, good for tweaking. Then import the result into Mari to continue your work.
If they had to sell, im glade it was autodesk that grabed them and not some shitter company that didnt have the funds to continue r and d. That being said, fuck avid. Way to have absolutely no loyalty to your product. its all about numbers and thats wack.
Hi guys, Thank you for your precious advices... I managed to get hold of some hours to work on my model. Not much blah-blah, let's have a look at it. Your C&C are very appreciated, please continue, I want to improve :)
doh! you should contact Tibor anyway and ask for a personal license! I'm sure they'd hook you up outside of EA. They've been pretty cool with granting them for people already on the beta to continue using it outside of the network licensing scheme.
More work on the crossbow, considering taking out the guy altogether, it might just be too much going on in this composition. Tried out a blue bg but it didnt't work out as well as i thought so looking for more solutions there as well while continuing to polish
Zbrush, 3dcoat, Silo, UV Layout. These apps continue to allow me to work as far away from max, maya, xsi - whatever the pipeline tool happens to be - until I have to, which is usually only when I need to rig/animate/export.
and so did I using blenders AO baking abilities, the nice thing for me was that I could just copy the application folder to another computer and have that one bake the 8k texture while continue working with the others. Can't do that with Autodesk software :)
hey hey now, Extreme GB had some badass stories in there. A lot of their stories came from real world myths. It was very dark, and I loved how it was in continuity with The Real GB. You just need to get past the 'extreme' and political correctedness.
i dont think that 12wx isnt portable because of a converter box and 2 other cords, both my roommate and i have one and take them every where, and if i score a gig at a studio, i will most likely continue to take it with me
hehe awesome, really solid looking. my one tiny crit would be maybe edit the leg specular so there is no or less shiny in the creases of the overlapping armour pieces, I think the continuous shine counteracts the 3d impression. I really like the character
