so i've decided to go with a gorgon/medusa. it's actually a lot more tricky than i originally thought it would be. firstly, there are different origin stories. Gorgons have existed as: one gorgon, who looked human but had a pair of snakes wrapped round it's (her?) waist. two gorgons, sisters, who were immortal daughters of…
You can turn your computer into a good gaming rig for ~700$. Buy only what's really needed, avoid things that bring only marginal improvements and a hefty price increase (e.g. bigger CPUs), do a bit of research to see what really makes a difference. The graphics card is the most important factor for a PC's gaming…
Well, I'm going to see Flogging Molly, for like the 4th time, and they're always outstanding. But here's my rundown: Red Hot Chili Peppers: Fun as hell to see live. Always. Nirvana: Make sure to see Kurt live if you can! Ooops. Great show, incidentally. Exodus: Just straight up head banging. Loud and fast. Pearl Jam:…
Thought I'd throw my hat in the ring. I'm in a piratey mood as of late, so my character will be a grizzled, peg-legged captain. Borrowing the face of Brendan Gleeson Initial concept sketch Initial body mesh from CC. Couldn't get the face anywhere near what I want so a decent amount of sculpting will be required. Wish me…
Hello. I'm in trouble in below image... I just activate symmetry and radialcount '8' and draw on my ring surface. It works out different drawing size totally... Help me out. !! cf1. It's same in standard drawing with masking cf2. If i did Draw size up, It works correctly. But, in Small size it didn't
I've been playing around with mental ray materials trying to replicate the Red ring in the image, However I can't seem to figure it out, everything I've tried has come out looking too bright and lacking the proper material properties. So I'm wondering if anyone has any idea how to make it? Thanks in advance!
using the mesh as collision is very bad. Yeah it may work fine in a small level but on a real production scale it's a bad idea. Collision primitives should be as simple as possible. I would maybe try to match that ring as closely as possible but maybe skip every other edge or something. Remember to keep it convex.
The 3d was a bit of a drag, especially since I was sitting off to the side. = headache. Their volumetric fog and smoke was awesome though. Alice looked fucking hot in that armor. I enjoyed the movie, but I went in with low expectations; My only dislike was that it wasn't 'wonder-y' enough, too much Lord of the Rings.
That ward looks super nice! The only thing I think may be a problem are the rings, which will use lots of tris, but the budget on wards are a bit generous. Also, the totem faces may be too small for the ingame texture resolution and size. But apart from that, I think that it definitely fits the hero and looks great!
Just saw this post today and totally going to throw my hat in the ring. Haven't played Garden Warfare yet but it is definitely on the "To Play" list. I'm assuming to post the finished test here? or is there a specified email to send to? I am really excited to get started and good luck to everyone else participating in this!
