Used Nod32 for 3.5~4 years across 3 machines. Really good, updates are daily. Low on system resources. Used MSE for 1.5 years. Even lower on system resources. Updates are daily. Doesn't have system resource spikes like Nod32 does when it hits a large file. Also MSE scans MUCH faster on deep system scans. -

Uninstalling - you could try something like http://www.revouninstaller.com/ , a trial should be enough for a 1 time use. If it's real vital, my preference is to do a clean Window install altogether. Made a tiny update, to fix how the script handles Maya's undo stack, before it was counting everystep as you drag the sliders as a undo step, now it saves the undo as chunks, so only the end value when you release the slider is counted as a undo step. Main Menu > Views > Viewport Configuration > Layout Tab. Update video drivers? If you did this recently think about reverting back. If not, updating them might do the trick.
