Agreed. You are allowed 2 Sets (Diffuse, Normal, Spec) of 1024x1024 textures, that's a total of 6, 1024's.

and to make it clear i meant that the games only looked slightly not as polished as alot of xboxs titles (not the specs) IMO

Making good metal is all about the specular. You need a good spec map to really sell the surface.

Texture is at around 80% done (diffuse anyway) I'll start working on the normals and spec maps during the week.
