Real nice style! Definitely could use some exaggeration. Tim's work is was more stylized and over the top with expression. http://badpolygon.com But you're on a really impressive path. Just keep at it.
With something of that scale I don't think sculpting fine details like that is going to translate well into the scene. I think it would be best to stick with large shapes, an almost stylized look.
I think the main problem is, is that the concept is far more stylized then your sculpt, it kinda clashes. best bet is to simplify some of the details like the hands. Unless that was your intention of course.
WIP: Today I had a little time to sculpt and stylized work is my first ever experience and actually, I like it and I think I can work on it more in future.
working on the textures looking for feed back going more stylized wanted to know if anyone had tips for leafs and grass also lighting any feedback is welcome and thanks for taking a look
I quite like the art style, its simplistic but it still has a sense of realism, its not overly stylized. The background of the stone texture looks like of like acrylic paint on a canvas
hah nah man thanks for the input, that's why i post. :) i was referencing this little hydrant. this turned into a simple spec and diffuse exercise, that's why i decided to stylize and exaggerate the ref.
holy! the results are superb! I've always like these stylized cartoony, environments. Full of rich colours. I saw that you used nDdo2. Is that how you baked all your normals?
I added some damage to the wood, hopefully I didn't make it look too stylized. I guess the real theme will come from the texture anyways. [SKETCHFAB]2d103a28c6cd4634b6fea2d6f9718179[/SKETCHFAB]
Nice verk. I think the eyes are too big, even for this type of stylized character. I look forward to the hair, and maybe you can do a breakdown or tutorial of it this time B) .
