In and out, sounds cool. Yes, you got it right, my problem was with the extra polygons and I didn't know I could easily delete edges AND vertices all at once. I'm still just a student. =0 What I don't udnerstand is why I have to select a central edge AND move the mirror line....quite silly, to me. =p Thank you! ^o^ -

ok, Almost 3 weeks later and NO RESOLUTION. WTF?!?!?!?!? also, dont say "oh it just happens" because Im sure there's a way around it. I am using 3ds max 2014 student demo and I'm STILL having this f***ing cut issue. NOTE: the are absolutely NO snaps on. so what am I supposed to do to cut some friggin geometry??? -

the swizzling was already taken care of, which means the Y axis is put to negative for it to be ok in Max. considering i'm teaching a course on character modelling to new students, I'd say the less software implicated and the shorter workflow, the best it is. but in the end, IMO, you gotta do what you gotta do if you want… -

Btw, you can perform hybrid rendering to use both CPU and GPU. Just check in the devices you want to use. Usually, with a slow GPU it's better to enable both GPU+CPU. With a fast GPU it's usually better to enable only the GPU because the CPU will be much slower and it will only slowdown the process. I've heard that… -

Here it is, 3 weeks later. I learned a lot from this project, like thinking more about texel density earlier and locking down cameras for beauty shots during the blockout to be able to focus on the right details and composition elements. I've tried that and it does not work. :/ But the issue is happening on both my work machine and my home machine. At work, I have 3ds Max 2014 and Windows 7. At home, I have 3ds Max 2016 Student and Windows 10. I'm not sure what kind of service packs I have, but I'm pretty sure I should be up to date on both of them. -
