I agree, 99% of the people can't be arsed to record videos, or even take pictures, so what you did was already a lot, and trust me, we're all very grateful for it! :)
ya UDK is 0$. you make your game, 99$ to license it and are entitled to the first 5,000$ profits. beyond 5,000$, you are required to give 25% of profits to epic. it is an incredible deal
So... if I bought ndo2, I get the upgrade to the new ndo. I don't have ddo, so what's the comparable cost of buying ddo alone to the full suite at $99?
I haven't figured out the exact math/science behind it, this is as close as I get and it works 99% of the time. If you want the corners to touch, I just use the symmetry modifier, with the pivot in the inner corner.
Transitional meshes technique is meant to mimic gums SSS. Not really needed here since you've lightened the gums at the teeth bases. Also kind of overkill IMO for an asset that will be hidden 99% of the time. Looking great.
The NDS handles alpha maps very poorly. When I worked on a DS game just I avoided them at all costs. Go with alpha test textures instead, they work fine 99% of the time.
[ QUOTE ] When doing a color spec map, is it just to use different shades of one color? [/ QUOTE ]It depends on the engine you're working with, but 99% of the time you can use any colors you want =)
http://www.stefanheinrich.com/pics/mob01.jpg This is fucking awesome dude. Very nicely done, great subtle shapes. Even down to the high freq. detail, that 99% of people screw up. Just great work.
I love his work! He has a 300pg book of sketches for $99. Then a 100pg book for less. Also he his currently working on Marvelous Land of Oz. Check out his new stuff!
New project, HP 99% done. Time for low poly, textures, materials. Renders are really simple and i could spend some more time on them, but i would rather create awesome renders for finished project.
