I've worked contract for a year and enjoyed it, a lot. After working in an office with other creative people you do start to miss the camaraderie and the creative collaboration that happens. I think the main issue portfolio wise, is that you don't have anything that showcases that you understand the game modeling pipe line, i.e high poly to low poly work flow + using the latest texturing techniques.
