So Im a modeler that was previously focused on characters now transitioning to focusing on environments. So I just wanted to ask the pros on if they have any techniques for placing lights in the environment. Both to be visually pleasing as well as to be functionally affective.
What is the average poly count for an airplane, weapons (sword shotgun), fully functional male character and a vehicle used in games ranging from GTA San Andreas to Halo? If someone could answers this I would much appreciate it.
you could script it..... about half way down, the y an x cylinders could be "modded" to be "roads" or the at least the junctions. The problem is how do you "describe" a road junction ?

I don't like the chest pockets, but I'm not going to waste too much time there. I'll have time to get better with clothes in the future. Update: I read the article and it seems that the seam is the intended functionality. I went back and disabled my work thus far on the model texture and the shading is fine without the layers above it. So something about how I've textured on top of it is making the seam visible.…
New Version: 1.07 -Added a (finally) functioning controller to adjust the vertical positioning of aligned assets, and I also made the tool work on any Max version 2010, 2011, or 2012!
@ bitmap, I am working on a bigger package with the 3ps material/3ps tangent modifier. And you can imagine with Per being around the UI has to look nice and be ultra functional ;)
