Constrain to edge in vert mode and align on the correct axis? Means you'd have to do it loop by loop, but that should work. Kinda tedious. EDIT: What cptSwing linked seems pretty cool.
Should note this is not a catapult, which would use the springiness of either the arm or ropes around the axle as the propulsive force, but a trebuchet, which uses the weight of the mass at the arm opposite the cup, and thus everything would simply be 100% assigned to a bone mechanically speaking.
Hey guys, first, thanks for all the feedback. It's nice to see people actually willing to share their knowledge. Monster, I'm on my phone atm, but I'll try to describe the gimbal lock situation. Say you want to animate a slashing combo on a right handed character. They would swing the sword down and to the left, then flip…
Sculptor1234d, I used Spacedraw since one of the very early versions and never had a "disappearing" mesh. Unstable scenes that cannot be openend yes, but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't happen anymore. Spacedraw feels way more stable than 3DS Max was at the beginning. 1) Save your scene in .obj often to be safe. 2) Your…
Good to know, thanks. I come from a physical clay background and am used to blocking a shape out looser before details. Zbrush still feels very unintuitive and I'm possibly taking tips from the wrong sources while working a little blind. It's on 128 with dynamesh. I'll try it lower at this stage in the future. Did you…
Hi there, make sure that your node Curvature smooth has a tilling in repeat mode on both axis, either with the node itself by forcing it to absolute, or by setting up the node just before. This node doesn't work if the tilling hasn't been setup correctly.
I think this is most likely the case. Try using the " Zoom Document "button, zoom out until your whole canvas is visible, then press F for frame. Also, be sure to "shift snap" your plane to an axis. I had some trouble with this tiling workflow as well but I finally figured out a good method which I might make a quick…
Is there any way to set it up so textures applied to an object in zbrush are automatically flipped on the Y axis when the obj is exported with txr enabled?
Hi, I cant stop looking at your work. it is great. But, there is 1 part that you are missing on front axle - and that is so called "Front axle trunnion" - it is that V shaped rod that makes front axle more stable... otherwise. very nice. do you have any images of front view, rear view and side/top/bottom views, but not…
