We never had models like this at my art school, you'd think with a class of 40 students, all dropping 100g or more they'd of been able to afford someone who actually had muscle masses and not just folds. Ugh still haunts me. :poly122: pretty amazing piece, I mean it's a naked woman what's not to love? :poly124:
I haven't updated in two years, which is pretty awful form, but there's no time like the present. Some Journey fan art done a little while back. And some colour experimenting with The Last of Us art in the same vein. Hopefully I'll be able to post some 3D in the next few months - looking at earlier student work is pretty…
Tried out this setup ,pretty cool results thus far . The model was inspired by the scimitar assault rifle used in the game section 8 ,concept by Brian [Mac] Smith . I'm making my student portfolio so this is to see how well can i match myself wth the current gen of models .…
THIS! Though I've been lurking for almost 2 years here on Polycount and haven't found any animators. There's not even a thread about video game animation... By the way, that fighting loop is awesome! Also, to answer the first post, I did work on a game on whcih I was the animator for a student project so I know how loops…

Thanks to all who helped me out with the project :)
I had loads of jobs before getting to the games industry: Metropolitan Police Cadets( jeez I hated that) junior acccountant in a local authority( I was a rubbish accountant) Royal Military Police( got my nose broken) warehouse worker binman in Camden Town( 2 weeks) student for 7 years. Tk maxx for 1 year( ahhghh) ah that…
My (parents) still don't like to play games cause school is important apparently.. ( don't want me to buy a xbox since I sold my ps3 to cover Student Loan expenses.. the irony...) old school people never want to change man.. it sucks using FPS creator to make games... isn't even making games man
Haha I'm just giving him some perspective, lots of times students think that when they get a job that they will have concept art for everything, and thats usually not the case, professional artists have to google and find reference too and they dont always have awesome references either. Especially when your making a game…
[ QUOTE ] you'd get some pretty strange looks over here too if you sat in mcdonalds for two hours [/ QUOTE ] two hours is the minimum time people spend in cafes or fast food joints here in Tokyo. Some girls spend all day in mc dees. You can often see students sleeping in Denny's or other family restaurants.
I will be there mostly for the traditional stuff. Im really hoping someone will be there doing traditional sculpting!! I was a bit dissapointed with the seattle work shops demos of 3d. Nothing was advanced or ground breaking. It felt geared toward all the students walking around, not the ind pro's that know a bit already.…
