Had a great idea: remove sentinels from the game. To be completely blunt I find they tend to just ruin the game, which is about mobility and speed. Then you just have someone(or several) at the back of the map playing 'click the pixel'.
Okay definitely gonna read that article! Also before I was told to make pixel density large for places that would be viewed by the player, and smaller for the areas that were not. This is what you are referring to, correct; 100% size for all of the texture uvs?
Unfortunately world position offset and even world displacement will only modify pixels and won't do anything with your polygons or collision. So even complex trace wouldn't result any different. :( You'll need to find an another way.
One setting you may not be aware of (in xNormal), is in plugins - Tangent space calculator - mikktspace: check "Calculate Binormals in Pixel Shader". As this is how both Toolbag2 and UE4 handle their tangent space normals (when in the case of xNormal/mikkt for Toolbag2).
Oh come one Hawken, you'll only feed his ego even more! You should smudge all the pixels so it's all soft and blobby, and use that for a desktop, maybe he'll feel hurt and rejected. And give it lipstick!
OH GUY! This is AWESOME! forgive my sounding like a teen-dork, but this is like 3D pixel art... WITH STYLE! You blew me away with this one man! Is there a particular reason you made everything so small? Otherwise, ROCKING!
really good textures ! there are some white that might be a tad too strong , instead of whiting them you could colorize them a tad . still impressive surface detail ! Xbox has pixel shading supporting normal map technology.
I love the scribbly style, reminds me of good old paint r u into pixelart by any chance? Id love to see some of those fully finnished with a interesting colour pallette and pixel art stuf like dithering
Hi all, CrazyBump Beta 8.8 is available, at www.crazybump.com/beta/upgrade.html New features include: - Improved accuracy when loading normal maps. - New slider for adding noise to specmaps. - Fixed a bug that caused black pixels to appear in normal maps. cheers, -Ryan
Man I love how this, it's so retro (but not in the omg 8bit pixels way), and the music is amazing. Also love that "Dear Leader is dead"-line. I will definitely play this. Can't tell, are the mechs/vehicles 3D or sprites ?
