So let's see, they've developed an online Office Suite to compete with Google's, but it doesn't offer all the functionality that Google's does, and it's going to cost money. SIGN ME UP!
You could check here, none for Max 9 however There is however, one for Blender and it is functional the con is that you can't use any BIP files for a cannedly animated model
All of my sculpting, texturing, and retopology. I haven't checked out the latest UV mapping tools so maybe that too, especially with some of the new UV functions that are planned.
Rick: cool thanks, Is this map something that is functional in my 3d modeling application for a render(i.e. Maya or Max), or is it only going to work in the engine i export my assets to?
It looks a bit monotone. Try adding in some blues to contrast with the oranges. The fence shadows are a bit of a drag to. Maybe a light function to fake the cutout shadows. Overall, good mate.
Maya 2k8 ( i believe ) added the Smooth Mesh Preview functionality where you can just toggle a mesh between smoothed/unsmoothed state, similar to Lightwave/Modo.
For AAA that should be it, since they have their own engines. Mostly LOD work, modelling, UVW, Texturing, Lightmaps keeping in mind texture budgets, texel density stuff and or if the model will be animated so keeping it functional.
This can be fixed by not using the pixel depth node :P You can recreate the functionality of that node using the following math: distance(world position, camera position); This works with hull/domain shader too.
