My biggest problem atm is lighting within UDK...I get the mesh and material looking great in the preview window...but once it goes into the map itself the lighting kills me...does anyone know the light set up that UDK is defaulted to in the preview window???
I've brought in tons of models into 3DO without an issue. I have one model that is coming in as the default cube, but glowing white. I've exported the model the same way that I've done the others. Not sure what the issue could be.
Doe anyone know if there's a way to render normal maps in Mental Ray for Maya using JS_NormalMapper in anything other than the default perspective camera? In other words, everything works great until I create a camera and try to render using it.
Hi, everyone. Is there any way to keep bake options(i.e. cage's Max Offset) when re-loading meshes? These values go back to default everytime after re-importing low meshes. Thank you in advance.
I added a new generator, with the default mask builder applied. It's pretty obvious to me that there is a procedural grunge effect build into the generator but I can't find where that is. I'd love to swap it out for a different procedural or at the vert least alter the scale/ position.
When I try using panel loops with the default settings I end up with a gigantic mess. I start with a dynmeshed object, use the slice curve to define a few poly groups, then hit panel loops. What can I do to fix this?
Howdy! This is more or less my first time posting and first time participating on the polycount forums! So many great choices, but I think I've finally settled on doing a redesign of Jayce's default skin. Wish me luck!
I'm going to be remaking the default skin for the fabulous knight of fabulousness, Taric! And since nobody gives half a crap about an art thread with no art, behold my mediocre concepting abilities and weird preliminary Zbrush bust! Crystals on crystals on crystals, bitches!
You should put the software you are using, But by your previous post i will assume that is marmoset, you can change the padding/dilation settings on ''padding''. But the default moderate should be fine in most cases.
There is no default. You make your own. I found it pretty straightforward once I understood how each of the main material inputs work. You can search the web for material setup tutorials.
