http://romanyukart.com/store/gothic-crypt/ Motivated by Dark Souls I made my own author's interpretation piece of environment. This Crypt is full manual 3d sculpt work. No special brush and other kit. «Ten brave men from the village tried to break and destroy the crypt, as well as the previous four damned buildings. But…
Finally get to show some of the stuff I was working on for Tron PSP. City Roof Tops Level Stadium Arena Characters by: Brian (Moops) Cairns I have 3 other level I'm trying to get screenshots of, but we no longer have devkits heh. So I'm trying to figure out how to take screenshots from my PSP at home. Will post more if I…
OMG. This might be the funnest game I've ever played. http://www.guitarherogame.com/ Anyone else pick it up? I about blew the roof off of my apartment last night I rocked so hard . Game starts out slow and builds you up so don't worry about it being hard at first. I just made it into the medium difficulty and the songs are…
Hi there. Congrats on graduating. I feel where your coming from regarding not getting that criticism you need at school with your work. I'll share some thoughts I have on your site/work. Overall -Site seems easy to navigate, there's art instantly in your face which is good. -I like the fact that you have wireframe/AO on…
It's a really nice set you've created for the house. The house has a cool design, but I think the tiles are too big compared to the wood walls. The dirt roof could be tweaked if you added more detail to the dirt, perhaps get some normal maps on it and a different roughness between the dirt and grass/ moss. I think this…
A large multi-room interior should be treated like a game level. You will need to hide the rooms you are not inside of, to improve rendering speed. So, each room should be a separate set of objects. Learn about occlusion culling: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/OcclusionCulling.html
I'm not sure of the exact type of tree you shot in mexico, but doing a search for "aerial roots" comes up with a few decent references for similar root systems. In Australia, occasionally ficus trees have aerial roots like the ones you show here and are just as bulky.
Hate to revive this, but has anyone aside from myself left getting a hotel room to the very last minute? Probably gonna be booking tonight, so just wondering if anyone who hasn't settled a room yet would be interested in sharing a room and splitting the cost. :p
you're using too many polygons in places where they're not needed, and not in places that they are. for example the ball's line has too many while the roof too few. the windows should follow the curvature of the ball. polygons beneath the house are not needed so you can get rid of them. also try when capping cylinders to…
Hi Camza, thanks. I was thinking of a modern day setting, although I like the idea of a wartime setting. Thanks for the references as well, much appreciated. The textures I'm using are taken from buildings that exist in London, however I haven't modelled the roof tops yet (I think this might set it in England a bit more…
