You should be able to reconstruct subdivs even if you lose them from merging. If you merge a mesh with 5 divisions and another with 3, you will be able to reconstruct at most 3 of the combined object's subdivisions. ZBrush won't be able to reconstruct any further if it results in triangles or ngons.
You know thats probably what my braind did!!:) 3 was the last one I played seriously. A friend of mine had one on the Xbox that I played a couple of times when I went over. But really 3 In the arcade was the last one I truly know.
I'm unfamiliar with 3dc but your naming conflict might be solved if it works on matID. Sounds like you have exported your 3 meshes from your 3d package with the same default material applied. Try applying 3 separate materials with appropriate names before export.
Hi! I'm not sure if I'm answering the question correctly since I have never used custom code node in shaderfx. By looking at the code you are posting, input 1 would be "sampler", input 2 would be "UV" (vector 3), and input 3 would be "MipLevels" (float).
fabio brasilien, thank you! actually I have separeted those 3 uv maps on 3 different shaders, I just photoshoped uv maps with pirate name for reference... But I will try to reduce tris as much as I can and of course 512x512:) thank you again!
My god, it was awful and probably one of the worst films i've seen. I bought it for £3 in a dvd bargain bucket and I want my £3 back! So glad I didn't go to the cinema to see it. Not really a remake though. Just a re-telling of and old myth.
for characters I typically don't even get a back view unless there's an important detail back there I would miss. Plenty of characters I work on have 3 level progressions so the time needed to do orthos or back views is spent concepting tiers 1-3

It's healthy with some competition in this area as it's only been id Software and Epic Games with this kind of tech till now.
welcome Zwefie! I always thought centaur could use a pair of really kickass rams horns. I personally like 3 right now, but the leather wrapped ones could be cool. I like the metal tip of #2 as well maybe combining that element with the base of #3
Hi, Any idea why would the material ID's would be missing in UDK from an object that has 3 meshes and 3 material ID's? I've been trying things and looked around the forums and couldn't find anything. I'm using 3ds Max 2012.
