I purchased both volumes from Liberty 3D which had some basic tutorials for NDO and DDO painter, see below. DDO for Lightwave Users- Volume #6- NDO Painter DDO for Lightwave Users- Volume #7- DDO Painter In the second tutorial (Volume#7) they added a bump map manually and painted bump details. After export, the main maps…
I agree with what was said. Dim the light beams and put more light soureces in the scene to define the depth. Also the shiny bumpy wall on the yellow building does not look good. The bump scale does not match the size of the building, should be much smaller, and maybe not so shiny. Anyway good start!
Emissive Mapping to express that the character has some high energy in him,This technique that adds a glow effect to specific parts of a texture. This is particularly useful for creating elements that appear to emit light, such as glowing eyes and cracks in the body. For example, in our character Fiddler, emissive maps…
I actually quite like it. I like the hose on the floor but make a variation with it in the hook if you're planning on using it in a gas station environment as 4 pumps with the hose on the floor in the same place will look crap. I'm not sure how you're doing this prop. Is it a 50's gas pump in the 50's or a 50's gas pump as…
Dude! I had no idea you're a Kiwi :) Your Valk is still one of my most favourite pieces, bar none. I'm sure once I'm up in CA we'll bump into each other somewhere! I look forward to it. Do you want me to bring anything? Marmite? Pineapple Lumps?
I think it looks great in 3d!! if you went flash/vector it would be SO boring and "asusual" there aren't that many 3d 2.5d games really.. and I think they're beautiful. the only thing I would say is pump up the detail on your main character. he's a little blocky. I'm sure you could keep the env as is and bump the character…
I think its high time we have a software that allows handpainting of height/bump maps instead of sculpting. This would save a lot of time, especially eliminating the need for high poly sculpts, retopology. I don't know why more research isn't done towards this. Also the requirements for high end computers to handle high…
So perhaps this is a strange question but i was wondering if this is possible: If i hold down alt and the middle mouse button in a side viewport i can orbit around the model but jump into orthographic view. Is there any way to jump directly into perspective instead?
Hey guys, Decided to dump a few characters and keep any new stuff that I will be working on in this thread. First of all.. let me just dump 2 characters I made for an Indie game project called Shizuka. (Check out www.astrogun.com for some more info) The main character called Maq. And a generic enemy character called "the…
