If you paint each channel seperatly it works pretty well to paint details on normalmaps. It just takes 3 times the amount of work Can't wait to see the special edition box of AoE3
try keeping the size of the peices proportional so the same amount of deatil is spread over each part of the skin hmmmm i dont think the head map needs to be a 512 and can be a 256
I suggest getting nice LCD monitors. I had pretty bad eyestrain-related issues a few years ago, and switching to less eye-melting monitors helped a fair amount.
Yeah there were quite a few of us. I don't want to mention any other names because I feel that is their business, but it was a good amount of very talented people. Is it beer time yet?
So im assuming you used the same texture for each of the weapons? this is great if you are trying to get an insane amount of objects/enemies/events on screen at any one time, but is painfully obvious.
I enjoy watching people spend an unreasonable amount of money on lies. Games are games, as they should be. Consumers should stop falling for the "cinematic quality" bullshot. Support the companies that deliver what they promise.
Here's a rifle for my advanced game modeling class. The instructor is basically requiring us to do the unearthly challenge, except no teams, with the exact amount of time the teams in the competition get. but here's my prop of pride. the one thing that's actually coming out.
not a huge fan of sculpting I got by with traditional polymodelling for a while now. But a large amount of artists seem to use zbrush for hardsurface modelling But then I came across this post So... is it really a necessary skill or is it just fluff?
Are there any AM people here? Just curious as I start my first class this week. I'm looking forward to it and had done a fair amount of research before siging up, but I'd still like to hear personal accounts of the experience if there are any.
I wanted to post a little birthday recognition to Sean. The amount of work he puts into posting consistent news articles and Recaps is sometimes staggering. Sean has been such a positive influence to this community and is much appreciated. So yeah, happy birthday there, Sean!
