Awesome site btw. I drew in anime style alot, but anantomy is always a fundemental to drawing characters. Even if you want to do robots, you would need to understand how it functions and stuff. Really humans are just robots with soft surface that eventually rots away.
Spudnik is trying to say that your shield doesn't fit DKs shape language and flow. Your shield is too soft and round and even the dragon face doesn't fit with DKs angular and pointy look. It's a nice idea to incorporate the Chinese theme but the execution just isn't working
Just a small update. Got the drawer done and I've been going around adding smaller details like bolts/screw holes in areas and making sure the edges aren't too sharp or soft. I think I'm getting close to being done with the high poly.
You can also use the clear coat material if you've got something that's got a clear glossy dielectric layer over a metallic layer or a rough dielectric layer, like lacquered wood or lacquered metal or soda cans or car paint, but that's probably not what you want.
Hi mkandersson! Make sure you use reference on the brick, you might want to look at creating some harder edges, it's looking a bit soft at the moment, look at creating big interesting shapes instead of fussing over every little bit. Blockout looks great!
:D Looking good freddy little crit the handle of the machete looks a little soft to me maybe tighten up the edge loops a tad other then that though looking awesome! Also your backpack should look more like boobs if you ask me :P
Very clean and accurate stuff as always. =) My only very minor crit would be about her bottom... Looks too soft, too easily squashed by the pants. Black girls usually have rounder and more muscular bottom that the others. Just my two cents =)
You seem to have lots of normal problems going on with your meshes right now. So to get em look flat and easier to look at maybe you should make sure your smoothing groups are alright or your soft/hard edges if you use maya.
This isn't actually my playlist. It's a friend of mine who did it. It's very soft and nice. Mostly triphop, lounge, chillout (no housey stuff) and some jazz. Some samba/jazz remixes to. One of my absolute favorite playlists.. http://open.spotify.com/user/skum/playlist/25UWBbtn5hFBJpKFhal6bC
Looks nice. The flow seem good, but overall the forms are a bit to lumpy and soft. Even on something like a hoodie some creases will be fairly sharp especially around the elbows. Keep it up though this is a big improvement over your earlier cloth. oh yeah here is an example:
