I might be completely off with this so take it with a bit of salt, I don't know much about composition. I get the feeling that when viewed from the entrance side there are some incongruences with the scene. With a bright sky like that, I would expect the flame to seem less bright (less contrast + light interference etc). I…
I've got some point lights set only to channel 3 and a couple meshes also set to channel 3 only. Now the problem is that the same point lights are lighting meshes set to channel 4. Why is it lighting meshes set on a different channel? (using latest version of udk)
Swiz I personally dug the dark underclothes and the red puffy bits. With them reversed my brains just /. I think part of it has to do with the natural inclination that something underneath is occluded and thus darker. So its fighting for my attention in a bad way vs just reading naturally. I realize that it can/has/will be…
Your jeep was a good start, but more complex models like that would be useful - lots of parts. Try to avoid concepts that are mostly boxes as well - a sports car, some guns, etc would be good. I think this image of an M16A1 shows off the kind of complex shape interactions you should be demonstrating in your portfolio - it…
Yes, I'd love to... and thank you for your interest... this forum has been reducing the size of my images automatically, so if you are on a pc and click control-scroll it will zoom in to make it much bigger - and then control-scroll the other way to zoom back to normal. Or I think the only other way to post the original…
You might be more of a libertarian then. I highly recommend looking up where progressives came from, their "era" in the early 1900s in which they existed in both parties and had complete, almost dictator like control. What resulted was a re-segregation of blacks from whites, confiscation of private property and gold from…
I've put it on detail lighting: As you can see I've got these issues: These are the properties of the World properties and the Point light I tried exporting it from 3dsmax as an ASE and FBX. I'm using smoothing groups, the light map is set to 1024 and the lighting is set to production, any help would be appreciated thanks!
@Happybell Glow was done with an emissive map, i didnt post it because its just black with some colors on it :) If you mean the glow from that thing in the center, then its two lights, one omnidirectional light to give the overall glow around the area, and one directional light with a lensflare on it to give the impression…
You might need to step back a bit and analyze the ref more closely. The speed is roughly 120 bpm; the loop you are looking to pull is around 2.5 sec, marked by the guy's right foot planting out at 0:30 then just before 0:33. I'd count the exact frames before getting in to Maya. Listen closely to the snare drum in the music…
Right off the bat, I have a very small budget for this. I'm working on a 2D game that only has a single member on the team - me. And I'm a lot better at coding than I am drawing. Payment / Sheet I have very little money to spare, but I still want to pay someone for this work so I am very open to negotiating. Payment can be…
