I did this in Max a long time ago, like 1998 timeframe, using Biped. Probably still works. If you specifically want to do it in Blender though, best to put that in the title.

Yeah, that's the argument I use when people try to defend Elder Scrolls' not having horseback fighting. Zelda managed it in 1998! I'm sure the developer guys have their reasons, mind.

This was for my assignment for class at my college Ferris State University (FSU) to make a transport vehicle between 1900-1910. This of course is a high poly. I wouldn't know how to make this low poly. Don't remember there was a term for that.
