Managed to find some free time to bust out a few more simple props today. Made extra props like these boxes that hold all the program floppies. Ended up making some books anyways as it wouldn't make much sense to have a bookshelf without any books!
Bigger budgets, bust mostly different priorities. Certain games need to invest heavily in visuals-driven tech for player immersion and marketing PUBG just isn’t that type of game. Makes more sense to spend the cash in getting the gameplay tight, which is where the engagement and retention comes from
Very nice! I'd reduce a bit the AO and tint it, cause atm it makes the darks really black, and also darken the shoes a bit, and play with a slight color dodge layer on the face/bust area to make it pop more. Good job anyways! Also, remember that the character has to be unlit!
@polynaught @Optimus Thanks you guys! So far I retopo'd the whole bust, UV'd him and gave him a rough texture pass in my first time using Substance painter (which I am now addicted to) Shouldn't be too long now until he'll be finished
Ahhh man, thank you :) i'm very glad that i helped you in something. Yes, the 100 eyes bust is being my intro to game workflow :D going to start uvs and subpainter texturing :) Keep doing the amazing work! I want to reach this lvl one day :)
Hey man good work :) but the face need some more work, I found a dude on zbrush central that did a bust of her earlier.. this is how I think the face should look in 3D. I hope Petur Arnorsson don't get pissed off for me posting this lol.
The actual facial features and structures on all of the busts look great, but I feel like they're all sort of 'jutting' their chins forward because of the large slope in the neck. I know they're just practice heads, but maybe you could look at having the neck in more of a rested state?
http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/09/23/the-darkness-ii-johnny-powell-trailer - New Darkness 2 trailer has just been released. The team has been busting ass on the game, can't wait till you guys try it out (if you choose too, haha).
Update on Yoko. The hair and clothing is still WIP. Played about with the proportions more, i think a bigger bust balances out the lower half of the body. Starting to push the bulges where the skin meets the tight clothing. Some of this will also be done in the posing stage. Any feedback is most appreciated!
You should head over to artstation and pick a few awesome artists. Go to their "Likes' tab and browse thru their thumbnails. :P For me, I like characters. Face up close, or half body bust. Usually posed, or nice skin shader or awesome face details. Mostly textured.
