you can use render to texture across mapping channels to remove seams regardless of the base mapping used. It's a pain to do and can result in ultra distorted textures but it's an option :/
Say I want MaterialA to be used on objectA and objectB, but I want to use a different texture file for each object. Is there a way to do that in maya? analogous to material instances in unreal engine thanks
