As Lucas said, this is a lot to take on at one sitting. You could, however, break it into bite-sized chunks and eventually end up with the entire scene. The items in the scene aren't terribly complex - the wrecked cars are probably the most complicated - but there are a LOT of objects. Being able to intelligently break it…
I agree with gsokol. You may be biting off more than you can chew, especially if you have a history of not finishing products. It's good to have a portfolio of completed items than really impressive but half finished ones. I'm exactly the same with starting things and not finishing them :P
Yeh it probably should be there, but I kind of just stuck it where I had space. I agree with a preset dropdown, would be more useful, along with a save preset button too. Also, in the bake queue window, those items should be like xml files or whatever and not model files :P
Thank you guys. Wasn't aware that game engines have settings sepecific for mirrored texture, very interesting. Can anyone post me a little screen grab of UE4 of this settings please? That assassin creed still looks pretty bad ass. Dynamic poses and some items really help.
I figured, with how often we have people asking how to make one, that it couldn't get much simpler than this. I'm just not clear if it allows other people to add/remove items too. It does have a login option, which may prevent others from changing things.
I don't know what you mean with "being redundant with game ressources" unless you mean the fact that you have the base data (player, menu, some items, etc) on all discs of a multi-disc game. Or do you mean things like three different looks for NPCs?
The lighting on the shot doesn't show the top of the head well enough. It looks like you put a wedge in there to tighten the handle to the head. Its a nice touch, for a part of the item people are likely to see a lot of in an FPS setting but its hard to see and it looks like its wood when it should be metal.
Nice portfolio, you've got a good body of work on there. The site itself works fine for me. I'd suggest removing the "WIP" items from your 3D section. They don't really show anything new and are just unfinished. I'm not sure if you're currently looking for work, but if you are good luck :)
Didja report it? I reported a problem with the UV pack tool, they fixed it by the next SP (months after my report, but better than not at all). Takes a couple minutes to fill out the form but it's worth it IMO. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=5600504&linkID=9241177
in Unity (been a few years since I used it though) there was a feature where you could combine several objects then have an icon representing that collection of items, which you could drag into the scene at anytime, instancing? I cant remember what it was called, but I used it a few times.
