bounchfx I envy you! My poor-college-kid lifestyle denies me such privileges =[ Although I guess I could have not bought my girlfriend a 150$ ring for her birthday, too >_>
ringworld story was great halo just borrowed the idea of the ring and filled it with monsters. I don't really see how it would make a great film unless they took some more ideas from the book.
I'm thinking that may be fabric as the outer ring? In which case a little more slack and some rope connecting it to the beams would help illustrate that. I could be wrong though. Its looking very cool.
I say just keep going. You seem to have the right approaches. Maybe one more pass with tiny models to flush it out, like the hook/rings below the top diving board - that sort of thing. Otherwise, awesome!
^^Thanks man, so much better now; Here are the updated screenshots. Still not happy with the planet with its ring since I didnt realize I couldn't seem to paint over the screw and kinda slopped out on that. Oh well.
made a few changes to the layout. Anyone have any thoughts on the CV etc too? Just noticed a a position i am kind of keen to try for and looking for any and all feedback before I throw my hat into the ring :)
Maybe not quite, but to that direction and definitely not a dagger. Seems the scale does not read that well on it. Maybe not enough hints for the scale. For one thing the ring on the trigger is for the index finger to go through. Will think what would help the scale be more obvious.
low looks kinda like this though I think it's a little more dense with the rings. I know the unwrap isn't ideal. The high is just the same mesh with control loop+ subdivision it's a raycast and again the normals don't have this issue.
Great hi poly stuff, my only crit so far is that the ring on the chainsaw would get caught in the teeth of the saw and rip off, you positioned it above them but unless it's not free-floating then gravity would get the best of it :)
I’ve been lurking around for a while and I wanted to throw
my hat into the ring on this one. Here
is the progress I’ve made so far. I haven’t decided what direction to take it
in but I’m thinking of going for a boarderlands style.
