You should focus first on nailing the planes of the face, proportions of the face, and the bony landmarks of the face. Asaro Head is a pretty good reference to emulate. It'll be boring, but you'll be able to learn your foundations better, and that'll carry into future work.
Isn't this what the "Create Face" mode in EPoly does? You just click to position vertices and it builds a face out of the last however many verts you clicked, just right-click to exit the "add vertex" mode and it will create the face.
Damn them some big titties. Lush improvement on the neck! Okay, so, first of all, your sternocleidomastoid is connecting to the clavical, not the sternum. They need to finish inbetween the clavicals (see above ref.) The bit that needs tlc right now is the eyes. Take this with a pinch of salt because i am TERRIBLE at paint…
That's a lot of questions :D I don't know exactly how it works in Wings3D, but you essentially divide the faces into MORE faces so you can control the look: This image is basically what you have on your model now. As you can see there is one huge polygon (or ngon, which is just any polygon with more than 4 edges). This is…
Without scripts: Extrude the border, select the newly extruded faces (ctrl-clicking the face level to convert selection from edge to face), switch back to edges and delete the selected loop for cleanup. Free script alternatives: Extend Surface (UI-less) Extend Borders (with UI)
THIS IS SO GOOD. Face looks ace... looks like an awesome blend of the features from the softer cuter face and some of the harder more refined angles of the harsher face..... perfect Easily one of my favorite characters of the comp. Pretty pumped to see what comes next.
Hey guys, I'm new to Zbrush, so sorry for the simple question but.... When I import a model of an OBJ into Zbrush and subdivide it, it tries to smooth all my open faces. Is there a way to get it to Subdivide in Zbrush the same way it subdivides in Max with turbosmooth. As in when I subdivide in max, open faces subdivide…
As a veteran figure painter and sculptor (mostly modifications) I just wanted to add to some of the tips and recomendations given. I too was in a similar situation a while ago, minus the 3D sculpting machine...lucky! Just want to share some of my knowledge so you guys might have an easier time. One of the reasons why the…
I started out my initial sketch on a toned canvas with simple line work trying to lay in my composition and work out all my elements as best I could before diving in with color and value. I knew I wanted to paint a dragon, and with this particular design I wanted to add an extra element that made it different from just…
First of all, let me start saying that what you have here shows a ton of potential and that I can completely relate with the frustration : p. My involvement with videogames began with the XNA days, had to do serious graphics programming, gameplay, content loading, etc. Implementing 'shadow mapping' (a thing from the 80's…
