Modo is like 3DSMax/Maya, a fully featured 3D app. Mari is like Substance Painter/3D-Coat for painting, but is designed more for very high spec work (it can handle multiple 32k res textures at a time).
Do you mean the Euler Filter? I haven't use Motion Builder in a long time. http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/15/ENU/3ds-Max-Help/files/GUID-01BDE1CF-C3C4-4D71-8A5E-3D18D9082325.htm
Choose Direct3D and then you get the choice between directx 9 or 10(choose 9 here). My guess is the driver or the fact that 3dsmax doesn´t like ATI GPU´s (in this case Nitrous seems to hate ATI)
Here's another one - a way to work inside 3DSMax with a process not very different from regular Zspheres armature making, using renderable splines and a few small commercial scripts and tools. https://vimeo.com/40389800 Hope this helps!
Optic things Modelled the camera-tentacle looking things. I've put them on spines with path constraints. Each segment is an instance of a master in 3DsMax. I did a test render with a low poly cylinder that follows the same spline.
Someone just asked me where the decimal setting is. It's the Precision spinner, here in the General tab: http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/15/ENU/3ds-Max-Help/files/GUID-33D130C4-9A18-485D-B80B-49BADE863542.htm
Hi guys! I see many great works around here !!! I've been working on this shield, I still have a lot of work, I made a base mesh in 3dsmax and then I have given details in zbrush.
should help fix your Ik --> FK issue http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/14/ENU/MAXScript%20Help%202012/index.html?url=files/GUID-83E779EA-03B6-4785-B610-9A6EE574E10-273.htm,topicNumber=d28e92839
Yeah, I pretty much downloaded Blender and started using it like it was 3dsmax. To really get into it might take a little longer, as any software with that many feature, but it's pretty intuitive! Add the poly reducer from 2.49, please!
If this is your only problem with keyshot, you could just render out a UV template in 3dsMax and apply it as a texture, you'll have your wireframe then. Unless you want it to be see-through which isn't very readable anyways.
