No. Bug I reported on first version are still in SP5. Axis conversion and edge breaking, which increase amount of vertices while importing to UE4 to some ridiculous values ;/. Other than that it is ok. But the problem is, that two issues make FBX export in modo useless for UE4...
I usually select the vertex, grow selection, then use Detach component in vertex mode to split all connections. Then select them again and use weld vertices with a low threshold. It should work, but then you have to redo your soft/hard edges and sew UV's.
Have a look through this thread, it has numerous examples like that. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56014 I think you're just going to have to use enough sides on your cylinder so that you don't need any vertical support loops.
About your problem, you have some bad topology to begin with, a few T vertices along that edge. Remove them, or add edges on the other side to make the loops continue around the corner. Also you may have duplicate verts along the edge there.
If you want to reshape a lot of vertices at once, you can use Blender soft selection. Hit "o" on keyboard, this let you use it. For more info, please take a look on Blender documentation: http://download.blender.org/documentation/NaN_docs/Manual2.0/Pet.1.html
Awesome, but.. 72Megs of textures!? The alpha texture is 90% wasted space, could that have been alpha'd vertices? Excellent modelling though I could have used double the polys and it'd still look like a brick. *Edit* Ah its not for real-time is it?. Nevermind.
Yeah, the snapping definately works. It's a bit annoying though when vertices are close together, so I think I'll still make my script just to speed things up. Thanks again! I'll post here if I run into any more problems.
words fail me... it really does look a mess, I mean all those round shapes on the body would make for decent air flow - and then they had to just wack a vertical wall of glass up where there should be a windscreen? doesnt make sense at all.
The pop-up windows for the characters come up really tall. On my laptop (1280x800, Firefox 1.5), they don't fit on the screen vertically and the pop-up doesn't have a scrollbar, so the bottom of the pictures gets cut off. Aside from that though, it looks great.
Yeah, I tried a few approaches, and I was lazily multitasking. I did start the edge extrude fro the leg, but I added a new vertical loop to my leg by accident, and just scrapped the whole thing. :poly142: Steady, that link is in my first post.
