I do, and I know unity can use masks to retarget animations but I haven't had success with it. If someone is interested and has experience in 3dsmax/maya and unity armature implementation I'm more than happy to entertain those applicants as well.
If you want to use it in unity, then you could extract a heightmap from the mesh. With this heightmap you can create a unity-terrain. Which will perform much better then one big mesh since it adjusts its detail level based on the viewing distance.
I'm jumping onto Unreal 4 from Unity 5 and am still getting the hang of things. In Unity I can toggle the widget's orientation from pivot to center, and I could move along the world or local axis with simple toggle of a button. Do similar controls exist in Unreal 4?
Hello! What files are people using for alpha textures in unity? I have tried saving as a targa file with an alpha channel in Photoshop but I'm getting white fringes on the edge, there is a page on the Unity website that suggests a work around - http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/Manual/HOWTO-alphamaps.html but this…

That’s something I’m seeing as well, particularly with more polished work getting questioned regardless of how it was made. The archviz point is interesting too. But I don't think in 25 years of…
I cant find any information about this. I need to export an object with 2-3 animations, and they have to be separated and not in one timeline. It is for a Unity game. I know you can export an object with all animations, and cut them in Unity. But I need them separated from the start.
I just upgraded an old project to unity 5 and i'm unable to bake lightmaps to a skinned mesh renderer (in this case an animated door leading outside) In unity 4 i'd just set the object to static before baking then turn off after i've got my lightmap, is this not possible anymore with enlighten?!
I haven't used video files in a 3d environment before. How should they be sized? I am looking to incorporate 16:9 aspect ratio video footage into a game select screen and wasn't sure if I should squash the content into power of two dimensions or use my final dimensions in the video file. Basically, will non power of two…
