Not much of an update, but I've got most of the meshes into UDK. Just need some toilets for the far end and some little things here and there. aajohnny suggested that I use a mix of vertex painting and decals for the walls and floor. Going to look into that workflow next and start texturing something.
this kind of things only remind me that i'm still in awe of the efforts those guys put in in the original one 2 decades ago, how they archived that from almost ground zero with hardware that is far less powerful than an average console today is way beyond me.
There was a massive delay as some peoples img links didnt work, so I grabbed the steam ones, then we were over the character limit by 1 k so I puu.shed a bunch of the art to make it fit. Sorry it took so long. Reddit formatting woes!
Okay, so i have a quick update on my Hard Surface Modelling. I have modeled a majority of my scene without including the assets. Texturing may be my only issue besides normal maps. But following this post is my update. Again, apologies for the delays...
Some unexpected delays... So I work on the AK-47 only. I am making the mecha parts. Hope you enjoy the skin. New pictures soon. Thanks. PS: I'm still working on the 2D sketch. This is a simple projection via 3d coat for preview.
Don't say anything about spaghetti, you dont know how much is needed to fulfill me, potatoes are super fattening, i know, i use butter like a soup. Ramen noodles will serve only as a decoy to wait for the delivery boy to show up. xD
Haha!!! Ill get back to her man, i need big balls to tackle fran Im kinda scared. Shes the female game character design of the decade for me... kind of like an opus. I'll finish her one day!! Meanwhile more assassin progress!!
This has taken far too long to get to this point but its finally baked. Lp for wires. AO still needs touching up here and there. Smoothed off some normals and fixed a few other nit picks. Next is the diffuse with dirt, scratched mess and of course Decals!
If it is the score isn't changing... possibly not hooked up yet but it looks highly scripted, as if it was just animated or in demo mode. It would be awesome if it was playable but I think they've screwed sonic over enough in the last few decades that no one really cares... sad to it looks pretty awesome.
@D4V1DC - The concept art doesnt really work too well in 3D space, but I think increasing the diameter of the camera "tube" will help. Lights and Decals are on the list for later, nice catch. Thanks. @tynew - I modeled everything in modo, it all started as a 44 sided cylinder!
