Hey guys. i'm working on trying to make a halo-style HUD for a project I'm working on. I'm using scaleform to bring in the image. In Flash I brought in the image as a PNG. The visor Hud's is see through. But when I bring it into UDK it doesn't read any of the opacity. I'm publishing the Swf using flash player 10 and…
hello everyone. I'm just someone working on my portfolio so i wanted to show what i've been working on. Crits and comments welcome :) thanks for looking. I'm still working on her. Still not very sure of her proportions and shoes. Working on bringing in accessories for her and then her weapons. Then i'll be bringing her…
@razzman Hey, Thanks for your input but that brings the face pretty much out of proportion. But I do like the ears going to move them a bit to make them look more like what you have. And bring the jaw line up a bit.

I spent my winter break working on a new environment so I thought I'd finally make a thread for it. It's based on a piece of concept art for Dragon Age II but takes a more stylized leaning similar to skyrim. My goal was to capture the early morning feel with the definite coldness created by the blue tint the concept has. I…
Hi all, I've created a website aimed at complete newbie's to the games design scene- http://www.thegamedesignindex.com/ It's kind of an "idiot's guide" to getting started, with general overviews of the processes behind creating game assets and importing them into an engine etc. Rather than be a comprehensive guide, this…
Hello! I'm thinking of a rather unconventional throne room, which would be ruled by a dragonslayer. I got the inspiration from Peter Jackson's art direction in The Hobbit; Thranduil's Halls in Mirkwood (found in my reference sheet). I adore the lack of large, flat, straight areas, the chaos and dynamism in the design. So I…
@AgelosAp & @Mohamed_Salah_Bchir: Thank you both! Hahaha you bring up a good point about the chihuahua. I'll bring him in as soon as I rough out the guy's face. I'll also work on getting his thighs / legs to be a little more slick and less boxy. I appreciate the input!
For instance I have a very basic shape for my hut which is 334 polys and I wanted to put the mesh smooth to smooth out the hard edges that brings it to 1,500 polys. Then I wanted to collapse the stack and bring it into z-brush. Is 1,500 poly model too much for low-poly???
where was this model from originally? if it is from maya. you should bring it back and and bring all the uvs back into 0-1 space. Also make sure you have Paint on Overlapping UVs turned on under Windows> Preferences> Paint > Paint on Overlapping UVs.
