Hey Danny, how's things? This is awesome! Are you gonna make a hammer or anything to go with it? You should maybe try adding more definition to her legs, see how that looks? Although most comic superheroes skip leg day it seems. Just a thought. Looks really nice though.
Carved out some of the structures in the knee and back legs. I consider the front legs 85% done. I still see some areas that could be softened and some where i can dig in more. The tufts need to be refined. I freed the elbow off the body a bit for ease of animation.
I started designing the ingame UI today. Trying to keep it as clean as possible. Still wondering if I should keep the text that says how many bullets are left in the mag or not... Since it's supposed to be hardcore I could do without it and just have a click sound when the mag is empty or something.
I don't think the colors work that well with the base Nyx, especially on the legs. It looks like chunks of lobster armor on top of chunks of his bug carapace which is weird. I think if the leg pieces and the back piece covered more of the tan parts it'd look a lot better to me.
What he ^ says. You could just wrap the leg armor a little more around and leave the inner legs exposed which makes a bit more sense. Cool stuff and if your looking for anything else after this try to make a character that would fit into dota2 that would be a crazy challenge.
The front legs are supposed to move backward and forward and so do the other ones, but the ones from the back dont seem to be able to move very well, the collision on the front legs is not a problem as they dont colide with the metal part on the side, how would you suggest modeling them so they look functional?
He is really proud of being there!! XD (And he should :) ) My only problem is with those legs. Aren´t they way too thin? Besides, I know he has a space suit and everything but I think there should be a muscle distribution showing on those legs. The look like straight sticks.
When I look at the upper half I really like it, texturing looks really good, but something about the leg design makes it feel block outish, the design is already there so nothing to be done about it, as seth already pointed out, giving a bit more rust to the legs might do it.
haha! Thank you Vovosunt :) . What's funny is that the skirt actually covers more of her front legs than her default, and the same amount from in-game behind. but she has similar colored legs to the front skirt flaps so it could be like she's wearin... nothin at all! :D
Umm... Use multiple subtools. Say. 1. Body + limbs 2. Head 3. Shirt on top of the body (1) 4. Arm wraps on top of the arms (1) 5. Leg wraps on top of the legs (1) 6. Hands/Claws 7. Pants on top of the lower body (1) etc.
