Vranvs Studios is currently developing two games, and we are in search of a 3D artists. The major project we are beginning is a dedicated remake of the Golemz gamemode from the original Starcraft. Does anybody remember that? The video below might stir up some memories. We are looking for a 3D artist that is capable of: *…
Because Splash Damage loves tapirs, we're giving money to tapir-related charities based on how many sites post up images of the tapir sticker Christmas cards we sent them! Tapir-thon 2009! (Also note the awesome festive logo and tapir-related media!) Destructoid, Ausgamers and ScrewAttack already showed theirs, that's £150…
That was the thread I original used to get rid of the shortcuts on the menu buttons. However that's not my problem, I just pointed it out to see if people thought it could be related. My problem relates to the ALT key being forced in front of normal keybindings (like bevel and extrude, etc) not menu keybinds like those…
Hey hey, maybe it's not related to design itself but related to one of the weapons. I tried to push/practice the workflow further by baking down the normals/albedo/ao to my lowpoly mesh. ~30k tris, 1x4k set. Some more shots on my artstation :) https://www.artstation.com/artwork/vdLxD C&c always needed and welcomed :) model
9krausec> Ah right. I figured you might come from a film background and was trying to work your way towards games as this is mainly a game oriented forum. Hardly ever see any offline render related questions here. tadpole3150> ? Not following. Was a serious suggestion on my part given I thought it was for a game related…
i agree with IchII3D, but i also have something you might want to work on. as much as your art is very important when trying to get work, so is your resume. i would remove the experience that does not relate to the career path you are pushing. If you have to have it, make sure that what does relate is higher up.
I've been curious about this for a while, because I see a lot of really "pretty" UV grids online, with tons and tons of seams...I'm working on game models usually, so I try and keep the seam count nice and low. Because of this, I get some interesting shapes every now and then. The Relax tool in 3DS Max helps me get the UVs…
So I've just started messing with Mudbox, and as usual with new 3d programs, I'm totally lost. I've modeled a simple base mesh in Max. It is a pillar to be sculpted in Mayan fashion. I know that sculpting programs like Mudbox and ZBrush like very even geo so I did my best, but my best isn't good enough I guess. I couldn't…
Excuse me - I simply laugh to avoid exploding because I'm fed up with technical issues. There's always SOMETHING is'nt there? Nothing ever runs SMOOTH does it!!! Anyways - NOW it's about a workflow I use that ALL OF THE SUDDEN dont work, hahahahaha... Usually I take my models from 3dsMax into Roadkill to lay out basic UVs…
Looks awesome. Art direction is very refreshing and unique in my opinion. http://www.apple.com/trailers/focus_features/9/ Movie started out as a short film by Shane Acker. (link to original short has porn audio in the background for some reason...) [ame="…
